If it has been more than 90 days for the EAD renewal application and the EAD is about to expire, what can one do? I know they no longer give walk-in EADs. I have tried to contact them but no positive response. Any help would be appreciated.

i recently got H1 Extension stamping ( Till 2011 ) and also have AP Expires in Nov 2008 .
I am working on H1 and not interested to use EAD .Do i still need to renew my EAD and AP?

just a tip not cool to hijack someone else' thread. on your question: If you are planning on being with the H1 sponsoring employer for the next few years no point renewing your EAD or AP. However they are two seperate filings. You don't need to have a valid EAD in order to apply for an AP renewal or vice versa. Hope this helps.

I had a H1-b visa until September 2008 from Company A. I transferred the H1-B to Company B and it was approved in December 2008. When I went for my stamping in March 2009 it was denied under 221(g). My employer then withdrew the H1-B petition because of lack of projects. I am now planning to apply for a B1/B2 visa at the Mumbai Consulate. Any one have a similar experience to share or have an idea on my chances of sucess?

Yes, you can track EAD online. All you need is case number. EAD will come to applicant address.

Valid AP is enough to travel - no one should care about your EAD if you are entering based on your AP. Ofcourse, always carry a copy of the I-485 and your wife can say that you are the primary applicant if they ask for her work status, etc...
Traveling with an AP (w/o EAD) should not be an issue. Good luck!

Hi
I am currently working on H1B visa. I also had an EAD which expired 2 months back & I applied for renewal of the EAD last month. I am at the risk of being laid off by my current employer & they will withdraw my H1B if that happens. Here are my queries-
(1) If I lose my H1 status & my EAD approval is still pending, what do I need to do? If I am unable to find a new H1B sponsor, will I have to leave US immediately?
(2) Will my H1 cancellation have any effect on my EAD & AP renewal petition?
(3) Can I return to US & work after my AP & EAD are approved?
(4) If my EAD approval happens before my H1B visa is revoked, can I legally stay & work in US on the basis of ONLY the EAD?

If H4 uses EAD for work with 485 pending, and if the underlying I-140 gets rejected, will this make H4 holder be out of status? what are the options for H4 holder.
If I 140 is rejected then the EAD,AP and I 485 are rejected as well. If you have used EAD then ur H4 is no longer valid ! You will have to go out of the country and get H4 stamped.
So the recommendation is to keep H status alive till you get Greencard

I am currently on L1B visa since Mar09, another employer is offering for my h1b visa. I have below queries for l1 to h1 conversion process :
1) How much time I can stay on H1 if I apply H1b now ? My total stay in US on L1 is 1 year 7 months, not a continuous one !!!
2) What are the good options/approach to file for H1 considering the fact that I want work with current employer on L1B for current project ?
3) Can I apply for H1 now and later do COS any time after October ?If yes, what is the max time before I need to do COS after H1 approval ?
4) How about if my current project completes before oct 1st and I have already applied for h1 ?
Kindly help me for above questions, would appreciate your help.

My Labor has been approved as software Engineer in current job, even though all responsibilities are that of Database Administrator.
I am planning to invoke AC21 and my new job responsibilities are an exact match with my current labor, but, the title is Database administrator.
Is there any risk involved in it ?
