Reuters talks to Pakistani tennis star Aisam ul-Haq, who made it to the men's doubles finals of the US Open this week about his immigration problems entering the US. He seems to maintain a positive attitude despite being regularly grilled by US immigration officials. Of course, he'll need some luck getting an O-1 or EB-1 approval since he didn't actually WIN the US Open. But that's another rant for another day.

date: when your GC was approved (when I485 was approved). Place, usually you enter the name of service center that worked on your I485. For instance, Nebraska Service Center.

Hi,
The doctor I went for Medical exam, he is not placing the 693 and supplement to 693 in the sealed cover. He is using his own form that I filled when I first went there and placing that form in the sealed cover.
Please suggest will INS accept any form other then 693?
I want to make sure what are the forms that need to be in sealed cover before I argue with the doctor.
I appreciate for your inputs.

Hello, I apologyze for not giving my name away first of all, secondly I need to know what my options are if my father and mother who are permanent residents in the USA can file an I-130 for me? They obtained their legal status thru the department of labor but at the time they were approved I was already 21 years of age (the whole process started in 2000and lasted for 5 years or so); one lawyer told me that I cannot do anything since I was over 21 but I just have been in a different lawyer who told me that yes I can adjust my status thank to a grandfather law that can help me to achieve my goal in working legally in this country. I am an unmarried daughter and 27 years of age at this time.
I just don't want to spend those $5,500 can this lawyer is asking me for his services, I appreciate very much your replies and my family will too

Can we pursue to have an amendment like SKIL bill or something in Economy stimulus bill? The amendment can be relevant to economy stimulus since it will give competitive advantage to america thereby stimulating the economy. (Something like AC21 made into law in 2000 to increase american competitiveness to stimulate economy)
Also, this way, there is a chance that legal immigration issues will be discussed separately from illegal immigration issues.
The economy stimulus bill is being currently discussed in House and soon will be in Senate where lot of amendments will be voted on. The bill seems to have bi-partisan support as well. We can hope this will be one more amendment to the bill!

Need help
I have approved labor for PD 2004 and I-140 got rejected in Dec'2006 due to education credential with 3 year degree. currently my I-290 is pending with AAO appeal for more than 10 months and my extension is based on that.
New labor is filed in June'2007 and got approved in September. I-140 is pending for the new labor.
My Current extension is getting expired in January 2008. If I get premium processed my extension on old case and if my appeal gets denied will my extension or my status gets invalid or I have valid extension upto next January to get other I-140 approval ?
Please let me know ASAP so I can request premium process for extension.

Hello,
I have recently moved and did an Address update for my I 485 online this weekend. I noticed that there are LUDs on my EAD and AP application (I did not do an address update for these as these applications are not pending, I have received both few months ago).
Did anyone else experience a similar issue?
P.S Admins - I tried searching for any similar posts but the verification image doesnt display on my browser and i couldnt get any results. Please feel free to move this thread around or redirect to an existing one.

Yes, this can be done. The H-1 company needs to submit a new I-129 petition requesting a change of status for your brother. Alternatively, your brother can leave the US, apply for an H-1 visa and re-enter in H status.

My wife is currently on H4 and we have EAD/AP, though not used. She is planning to apply for H1 with new employer.
When approved, does she need to leave the country and get visa stamped before starting employment.
If she leaves the country and enters using the AP document, will it cause any issues with her H1. Any input will be appreciated. Thank you.

I heard this ACT is voting on March 2 by senete members, (PHD students directly change to GC), even it pass tomorrow, how long it will become a law?Whether it needs to be passed by congress next?Is it possible to become a law before June?
