So you are looking for motivation? Your post do not indicate that you are looking for motivation. There are those who are undecided or who cannot find enough energy/motivation to do something, and those people need motivation. You don't fall in that category. Not just priority date, but also receipt date.
My priority date has been current for a year now, but are they processing it? No, because my receipt date is 08/28/2006 and they are only doing 08/07/2006 now (after going back one month in Texas).
Thats right....and currently they have at most 400 for each category to give from July 2nd...and might have already used them for adjudicating old PD's. So, only couple of hundred first comers on July 2nd may benefit if processed based on RD and after that...its a big messy backlog center. They will processed based on PD ONLY.

BOA is now asking me for I-94. In my I-94 it is stamped as"Paroled until July 29th 2010" - will they interpret this as my valid stay in the US being only till July 29th? Not sure how I can explain this to them

Do not worry, that is one of their procedures. They just go by the rules and documentation set by the underwritter. If you have your valid EAD and explain to them that you are currently on AOS status then it should be fine. If they said that we can not provide your loan because your I-94 is expiring soon, then just let me know and I will send you the loan officer's contact name that I dealt with.

I happen to be a freelance writer (not a journalist). In response to this thread, I have penned a 2,700 word commentary on the current challenges titled "The Plight of Promise". In order to beef it up with some compelling statistics, can 5 or 6 people respond to this thread with anonymized details of their specific circumstances and how they are suffering. If the system is flawed, any effort to work it out to get things done would seem incompetent and inefficient. First off, this guessing game by USCIS of estimating visa applications and asking for visa numbers from DHS is so neondartal and ridiculous.
Process must be automated and centralized to eliminate any human intervention in performing guesstimates. A pool of visas must be made available in the system and must remain available for the next year to be carried over if needs be. That would eliminate pressure on officials to play the game in the dark and rush like maniacs at the end of the fiscal year to catch frogs!

Well, I had a Infopass last week to check on a Soft LUD on my I-140, I heard slightly different story, they did not say adjudicating the EB application, but Process the EB application, which I guess what they were saying is pre-adjudicating the cases, in the last few weeks with lot of cases being transferred (both EB2/EB3) to different offices, pre-adjudicating the cases makes sense....but hey, we are talking about USCIS here, we never know, whatever you heard could be true too......
One piece of information that made me happy reading your comment was "a directive from the DHS/USCIS that they want to separate the legal stuff from the illegal stuff", this is good news.....but wondering what does legal/illegal mean to USCIS anyway......and how does it help us from retrogression point of view??

Cool down, nixstor! you made your point! Take a deep breath, relax and post with a rational thought process. You are not helping by continuing to post negatively.
Personally, I think we can utilize this issue for the following:
1) Urging our congressmen/senators to pass some short-term benefits like recapture of visas (Obudsman report indicates that around 180,000 visas were not used in the past years). This is a golden opprountinity for us to urge congressmen/senators to pass a bill to release those unused numbers for getting immediate relief.
2) FBI name-check process needs to be made faster; so additional funding could help. (Obama Bill)
If we leverage this issue on the above and focus all the efforts on the above two points, we will be better off. I hope the core group is already working towards the above two objectives.

Does anyone know/suggest how to handle this delay? How are Ombudsman conferences held? Are these adhoc or with a certain frequency? We need to bring this up somehow. Recent USCIS reports show varying numbers of cases processed. But no one will know about our delays of existing AP cases unless we bring this to attention through murthy/Oh firm/ombudsman...somehow?
