Maybe it does, maybe it doesnt, I dont know.
I am one of the few who was all alone in a congressmans office requesting the district director 'lets wait for 5 more mins' because all the people who were supposed to come to the meeting bailed out at the last moment without telling me.
its been 6 months and i am still pissed off about it. My daughter had to be rushed to the hospital the day before the meeting, i still made it. My employers were also supportive about giving me the day off to look after my child and attend the meeting too.
So am I judgemental if someone promises to attend something and doesn't, you bet i am.
Each one is supposed to his/her own part in a own way, but please dont promise something and be callous to ignore it completely. If you can contribute, contribute, if you cant then dont, provide your services in someother way but dont make light of the effort that others put in. The guys who failed to make to the Texas meeting could have emailed or called up and said so.

It's already been referred to the House Judiciary. Since it had to do with Competitiveness i'd rather much rather see it in the House Energy and Commerce or House Science Committee. Despite all their talk of 'welcoming legals, and pro-immigrant, anti-illegal immigrant" pronouncements, they haven't done much to help legals in the Judiciary Committee.

Btw, in the senate skil bill (s 2691) i see a new co-sponsor added, TX Sen Hutchinson. Can you set up the Webfax in a way that we can email our Senators/Congressmen to request they co-sponsor their chamber's respective versions of this legislation? Thank1

I agree. The PD for Oct' Bulletin will probably somewhere in mid-end of 2003 and i don't think it'll ever go back to Current .... So what happens to all the 2006,2007 applications ???

Its a very gud news. Infact, One of my friend also got his GC though his PD was not current then. It happened around 3 months back, he received physical cards in hand where as his PD was Nov 2005. Perhaps its happening.

My employer has filed second extension and due to the fees was not sent with the proper amount they sent back the application saying it has denied and sent an I-290B with it to apply for appeal, i just got a letter and my H1 was exp in Dec 07 please help what shall i do, i am in helpless state my employer is working but any help or info is much appreciated.

Do not worry as long as the appeal is filed and with a lawyer cover letter explaining the mistake.
The most important thing is that you are in status when you filed ... which seems so, since u r filing extension and not transfer

Going back to India is not a bad option at all, but it is really subjective to each individuals about what gain we are going to get out of gaining GC or citizenship from US or Canada like settling down in these countries for good or moving back to country of origin later. In my opinion gaining citizenship from US or Canada before going back to India will be always advantageous, one future perspective these countries have bilateral agreements with other developed nations where you can travel without visa for business trip or for even jobs where you're treated differently as against India citizens(Asian origins doctors who work in UK know this difference). Its a known fact that the pay structure in Gulf countries are different based on the citizenship.

I just called Lamar smith's office, a lady took the call and once I mentioned that I'm calling on behalf of immigration voice, she immediately responded with the three bill numbers and said that she will pass on the message to the rep.
